Right now my family is trapped in Macau's most luxurious hotel, The Venetian, because of the typhoon, and there's no ferry back to HK. Taking advantage of the wi-fi here in the hotel room, I'm using my iPhone to blog -- the first time to blog with my iPhone.
[
The followings are added when we're back to HK.] Because of the typhoon
Nuri, we're forced to stay at The Venetian for one more night. Activities in such a homey hotel room were not boring at all -- besides blogging and watching the Olympics, I also asked both KK and HH to work on their vacation homework -- a weekly composition.
Leaving the hotel to wander outside was not recommended by the hotel staff because typhoon signal no. 8 was hoisted, and the bridges from Taipa(氹仔)to Macao were closed. The swimming pool at the hotel was also closed because of the thunder warnings. So the only thing we could do other than staying inside our room was to do window shopping and eating at Level 3, the Grand Canal Shoppes... Mmm... nope! Kids are not allowed to go down to the casino level, so staying at this giant mall was the only option.
You'll lost the sense of time in this giant shopping mall: In this street it was day time, around the corner it was night time, then it was evening time in the next piazza.
We couldn't afford to miss the gondola ride, can we? KK and HH asked this guy if he could sing the songs from the phenomenal
High School Musical, he insisted he sings in Italiano only, and
Santa Lucia was almost a must to any tourist here. Hey, his singing was not bad at all!
Grazie! Here's a composition by HH when she's back:
《滯留澳門》
今天,我們原定早上離開澳門返港,但是新聞說現在掛了八號風球,沒有船回香港。我們一家都想不到辦法,唯有多住一晚,我和姊姊興奮地說:「好啊,好啊,好啊!」爸爸說:「但是我和媽媽都花光了錢,用妳們在農曆新年回來的利是錢付房租可不可以?」我回答說:「可以,可以,一定可以!」然後我們一家就多睡了一整天!
