2 questions for we believers

"One day we're gonna stand before God and he is going to ask two questions. The first question is, "What did you do with my Son Jesus Christ?" Not "What religion were you?" Not what denomination(宗派), not what background, where did you go to church. We were created for a relationship, not a religion -- not rituals(禮儀), not rules, not regulations."

"Then the second question is, I believe, "What did you do with what you were given?" A lot of people are going to have a hard time explaining to God why they chose their plan instead of His while they were here on earth."

"God's goal in life isn't to make me comfortable. He isn't interested in my comfort as he is in my character. This is the grow-up stage. The comfort, the joy, the relief from suffering and pain and all of that is going to come later in eternity, which we are going to enjoy for trillions of years."

Thanks Terence for sharing his needles.

I had similar experience with the 2nd needle you mentioned. Many years ago I refuse to give up my sinful act, but even I prayed and read my bible EVERYDAY, I couldn't feel the company of God. My spiritual life at that time was so dry that I realized life without God was really terrifying -- a walking corpse I was like!

By the way, there're a lot of similar challenging but practical questions in Rick Warren's "The Purpose-Driven Life".

Yes, I'm reading this book these days and it's very inspiring to me indeed ..... I always pray that I can experience again and again our God's love so that I can walk on HIS path assigned to me instead of mine JUST becoz of HIS great love to us.

Thanks for sharing, Coral!

Always remember that love lies in our hands and on our feet, not in our head.

Ha! Aside from my collection of quotes on love, this may be my own quote on the topic!
