Gadget Grandpa
星期二給爸媽發了個電郵，恭賀他們結婚週年紀念，下午竟然在iPhone上收到來自爸爸的中文短訊回覆，我驚覺爸爸也懂得發中文短訊嗎！？IT爺爺懂得在電惱上以手寫板輸入中文我當然知道，但過往在過時過節收到他通知家人甚麼時候在那裡吃飯的電郵也不過是一句起兩句止，現在竟還能在手機上以中文寫這麼長的短訊，對一個七八十歲的老人來說就殊不簡單呢！
在我成長過程中，看著爸爸上無線電技術課、在家裡拿著電焊鎗弄原子粒收音機、玩音響、玩相機、自學電腦、現在還懂以手機發SMS，如此科技-literate（科技盲的相反）的gadget grandpa真令我拜服！Labels: 生活

Father sent me SMS pretty often recently. He likes it. When I talked to him yesterday, I told him that it costs $1 for 1. He said he didn't know ! I think he may not send more.... Is that a good thing or bad thing ? ......Brother 2
So did he write messages longer than this one?

Of course not la! Like what you've written, this is only the 12th week for my Tuesday classes, and 10th for my Thursday class. Together with my full-time job and church ministries, this has been the most exhausting and frustrating months for me in years.
為你禱告la. Hang in there. Most probably by the end of the school term, you'll feel 老懷安慰 as you see the projects your students come up with.
I wish my parents are that good with gadgets. They have a computer at home for years, just refuse to turn it on, imagining that they won't know how to use it and might mess it up. There are so many things I put on my blog that they would want to see. Hate to see them missing out. They are relying on the oral report from my sister, which does not include photos and videos!

Amy, that's why your parents need a Mac too:
1. set Safari (or whatever browser) as a login item
2. set your blog as its home page
3. set Safari to load this home page after launching
That's it. Everytime the computer is turned on, you blog will come up automatically and they'll be ready to read it. (Of course I don't need to worry about whether you write in Chinese or English la!)
